This is the title of ELA's editorial contribution to the magazine ELEVATORI which will be published on the occasion of Interlift (October 2019).

In Europe we have no common set of regulations or standards describing how to handle existing lifts when talking about maintenance and repair. For modernization, there is the EN 81-80 standard but implementation depends on national regulations, which are quite different in the various European countries.

Despite this, the theme is of great interest and our Association will continue to explore the strong implications for the “world of lifts”.
