Liam Loves Escalators (LLE), the second instalment of LEIA’s ‘Liam Loves’ safety awareness campaign, has been shortlisted for two awards:

Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards 2018 – Marketing Campaign of the Year category.

UK Content Awards - Not for Profit/Charity Campaign of the Year category.

Launched in September 2017, Liam Loves Escalators encourages children and their families to be safe when using lifts and escalators. LLE is centred on an original, fun and free storybook and colouring poster, specially written and illustrated for the campaign, for young children and their families to enjoy and learn from.

Run over a 4-month period, September 2017 to January 2018, the campaign successfully distributed nearly 20,000 copies of the children’s book and poster to families around the UK. This was a 275% increase on the 7,000 books distributed for LEIAs previous campaign – ‘Liam Loves Lifts’ run in 2016.

Oliver Greening, LEIA’s Senior Operations Manager said: “Not only did the campaign exceed our expectations in terms of materials distributed, we were delighted with the levels of engagement achieved with LEIA Members and the target audience through social media channels. LEIA now has an established, interested and engaged community through which future safety campaign messages can be channelled”.
